Walkthrough
For this part of the mission, you'll start out in the Vault. You'll find lots of interesting art pieces surrounding you (including the head of the Statue of Liberty), and Kasumi will comment on all of them, but the two things you should focus on are the graybox and the
M-12 Locust SMG next to it. The interface will show you when you're getting close to them.
When you pick up the graybox, Hock will confront you via a hologram, and you'll be given an opportunity to use a renegade interrupt to shut him up. Then several soldiers, including Chief Roe, will storm into the Vault from the east. They'll use flashbang grenades against you, but otherwise they'll stay on their side of the room, and so they shouldn't prove too difficult to kill.
From this point on, you'll just need to fight your way out of the underbelly of Hock's estate. This will involve killing a bunch of Eclipse mercenaries, taking down a couple of heavy mechs, and shooting a mass accelerator cannon at some volatile tanks (in the Factory) to create a path forward.
Eventually you'll come to the Wharf outside the estate. Hock will attack you there with a shielded gunship, and every so often you'll also have to deal with mercenaries and mechs. For the most part, you should ignore Hock and concentrate on the other enemies. That's because Hock will keep regenerating his shields, and so you won't get very far with him. But then after a couple of waves of attacks, Kasumi will announce that if she can get to the ship (that is, if no enemies are around to get in her way), then she'll be able to drop its shields.
So, even more so than before, you should attack the mercenaries and mechs on the Wharf. Once you've killed them all, a cut scene will start up, and you'll witness Katsumi doing some impressive acrobatics to jump onto the gunship and disable its shields. With only armor to protect it, the gunship will not be nearly as powerful, and once you've destroyed it and mopped up any remaining mercenaries and mechs, a shuttle will land on the Wharf, and you'll be able to use it to return to the
Normandy.
On the trip back, you'll get to help Kasumi decide what to do about the information in the graybox. As far as we can tell, this decision won't affect anything in the campaign, and it won't even earn you any morality points, so pick whichever answer seems best to you. Either way, Kasumi will become loyal, and she'll gain the flashbang grenade power.
