Background

After completing the quest Child of the Elder Blood, Ciri will ask about Skjall, who you might remember from the quest Missing Persons. When Ciri learns that Skjall is dead, she'll want to visit his grave. If you agree to accompany her, then you'll trigger the quest.

Note: Going on this quest with Ciri will push you towards a "good" ending for the game. Declining will have the opposite effect.


Walkthrough

Yennefer will open a portal for you to the Lofoten Cemetery on Hindarsfjall in The Skellige Isles Northeast (#1). You can go through the portal with Ciri and start the quest immediately, or you can meet Ciri at the cemetery later. Either way, once you've reached the cemetery, the quest will proceed as one long cutscene. You'll learn that Skjall was thrown into a ditch rather than buried, so you and Ciri will pick him up and bury him. The villagers won't be happy about this, but Ciri will tell them in no uncertain terms to change their minds. The villagers will acquiesce, and you'll earn 100 xp.
