Escort Technician (Quest Automatically Given): Escort a Vault-Tecnician to the facilities command console.
Connect Circuits (Quest Automatically Given): Find the two circuit breaker control computers and use them to reconnect the circuits that power the elevator.
DOMO ORIGATO
You find out from a cutscene that your main opposition in this area will be robots. You need to escort a technician through the area, but there are times when he will stay in a safe area while you scout ahead. This is the case when you enter the first room. You will need to find a way to remove the force field that prevents you from moving east.
FORCE FIELD
You can open the force field immediately, by heading north through the narrow passage, then taking the south door of the room off the passage. It's worth your time to explore the rest of the area without him at this point, so that you won't have to worry about him while you are killing off all the robots. Turning off the robot replicators in the biggest room is especially a priority.
ANOTHER FORCE FIELD
Your way east will quickly be impeded again by another force field. Head north, then east to the big robot replicating room. Head around the replicator machine and back west to turn off the force field.
MUSCLE FOR HIRE
Follow the technician to a room with several computers. While he's doing his thing, you'll have to protect him from robot attacks.
BLOWN FUSE
Your next task will be to find two circuit breaker control computers and use them to power the elevator. You'll actually do this by heading to level two. Thankfully, the technician stays on level one.
TO LEVEL TWO
The door on the left leads to level two.
TO LEVEL THREE
When you get back to level one, you'll find that the technician has been killed by a robot. You won't have his help when you move on to level three. Take the other elevator this time.
