I have found that my regular readings have shrunk dramatically over the years. Mostly because of the exact reasons Moonbiter stopped. I only do a handful now on Wednesdays.

Usagi Yojimbo- yeah I know, keep the furry jokes to yourselves. This book has been consistantly good month after month for ...

Thanks from the Land of Isabel

Thanks to everyone who contributed to the relief effort here in Virginia. We needed (still need), and appreciate your efforts. Especially those who gave the prayers/well wishes/good vibes for our recovery. Please don't stop. We are a long ways from back to normal.

Thank you, thank you, thank you,

PvP Question

As some of you may remember, I have a campaign in play right now that has two parties (good v evil) played by different players on a collision course. They are about a month and a half away from meeting, and it is proving to be a bit more challenging than I thought. I have a slight level gap and ...

Saw some Dylan way back there. Not enough time or space to pay the man his propers. The greatest lyrical poet of the time. IMHO of course.

Definately do not give in. You are all friends who love to game.

Take some time at the start of your next session and ask your players what they like about your campaign, their characters, and gaming in general. Take some time getting them to tell you about the things that they enjoy. Try to keep ...

It is not just Good that is important to a Paladin my friends. Order and Respect are important as well. But that is an entirely different point then where I think we started. Hey, I am pretty sure that I failed to make my point now that I read what I wrote again. Ain't this medium great! Please ...

Not much time now, so I will elaborate later.

Nippy, you mentioned that a paladins code calls for a respect of authority. as well as being in line with "lawfulness." How exactly is picking locks in line with those statements?

Offending a tiny bit of the code? Is that like kinda being a virgin ...

I would have to respectfully disagree with the previous statements. Would a paladin learn the skills of a thief? I would say no. A paladin is a holy knight when put in the most simple terms. Paladin have a code of conduct that usually involves acting honorably always, especially towards one's ...

IMO there is nothing wrong with 3rd Ed that can't be fixed by some good table rules except for those horrible things that WoTC tried to pass off as rulebooks. The books themselves are pretty to look at, but as reference material, they are wretched. For example, the old Monstrous Manual (2nd Ed) was ...

Next Question

Ned, you are absolutely on target with PCs peaking powerwise in their mid teens. This campaign was originally an experiment to see if there could be a viable game from level 1 to level 20. So far so good, I think. The groups have an understanding that if something gets out of hand ...

NWN Online

My comrades and I have just started playing NWN as a multiplayer game. Wow. While I liked the single player-4 times completed - the multiplayer version is how I believe the game was intended to be played. If you haven't tried it yet, give it a whirl. It really is the closest thing to the PnP that ...

Wow Nippy, you realy don't have much PnP exp! Orcus is an old school Uberbaddie. Demon Lord of the Undead. He swings a nasty wand that tends to obliterate most living things that it may touch.

I appreciate your efforts, but I have already hooked both parties, and they are on their ways to their ...

OK. At the risk of revealing all to my players, here is the deal. Apologies if this becomes too long. The Once-Lich is actually an NPC from a friends (who no longer plays) game. My PC in that game was part of a party that was duped into returning an extremely power lich to life, from undeath. This ...

Thanks for your feedback folks.

Nippy: I am not exactly sure of what my idea is yet, but this is kind of my motivation. I am in the 20+ club for playing and DMing and am looking for the Meatball on top of my Spaghetti. Also, there has been a lot of effort put into this campaign by a lot of ...

I just did this yesterday. It's a tough fight for sure. I did it in 2, with only 1 corpse on my team when the dust settled. Try buffing with Imp Inviso (it ain't easy being cheesy), Stoneskin, Champions Str, Emo: Hope, Aid, or whatever decent duration buffs you have. And remember, nothing that you meet in the Squares is immune to a good butt kicking. Don't try to finesse this area but so much.

What do you think?

I've been running this particular campaign for 4 or 5 years or so. I currently have 2 different parties being run by 2 different groups of players. One group is good, the other evil. What I would like to do is have the two groups meet in an encounter. In my experience (20+ years, all kinds of games ...
