Background
To the south-east, a part of the map is inaccessible because it has been blocked by trolls. Get past them to discover the neckar Island beyond.
1 - Trolls at the Bridge
The most straightforward solution is to attack the trolls. You will have to fight Brulbu (400 VI) and Mombo (450 VI) before Krolwum removes the barrier. They have fairly low AT value but do high damage, but still the fight is doable. It is not the ideal path past the bridge, though.
The better solution is to bring them Candied Kosh Bunting tongues, which you can buy from Crooked Otto (#2). The trolls will remove the barrier and offer you can extra reward: either a cloth stuff (Brown Travel Robe) or a metal thing (Tulamidian Mail), the latter being the far better option. Additionally, this closes Trolls at the Bridge and nets you 40AP.
2 - Crooked Otto
With enough Animal Lore, you can ask him about the creatures he has in his cages, which lets you access a barter screen where he sells candied kosh bunting tongues. They are expensive, above 40D.
3 - Neckar Island
On the island a Water Nymph appears, begging your help to escape from the island. The stone circle keeps her in place, meaning you have to solve the puzzle.
Align the stones so the symbols on the central circle match the symbols on the stones (facing inwards). Then put a toadstool in the northern bowl, whirlweed in the eastern bowl, oneberry in the western bowl and firemoss in the southern bowl. This nets you 80AP. If you lack any of the ingredients they can all be harvest in the area behind the trolls. Note the game uses up all ingredients if you put in a stack, so be sure to split off a single portion for this use.
4 - Slave Trade
If you freed the water nymph, you will find a slave trade here, selling the nymph, after you completed the Secret Harbor. Brother Emmeran asks you to free her. Do so by a succesful Fast Talk or Intimidate either on the Unscrupulous Merchant selling her or on the person who wins her bid. Persuading the Merchants oddly enough nets you no additional AP, whereas persuading the bidder nets you 40AP. Alternatively, you can fight the bodyguards of the merchant for 20AP, or simply buy the Nymph yourself for more than 200D, though this nets you no AP (you can picket pocket the money back from the merchant).
Once you have freed the nymph, Emmeran gives you a Good Geode's Robe, and the quest is closed, netting you 40AP.
