...finding Bobbleheads, and those won't rise the skill much. I really would not say that 10 skill points to a single skill when each skill caps at 100 "not much". 10% per bobble head is alot! Add that to the Comprehension perk taken around level 4-5 means 2 skill points per book. That would mean ...

Lockpick and Hacking skills are quite needed in the game. While all critical locks and terminals pretty much have keys and passwords lying around (or workarounds to them), many would require these skills or they're simply inaccessible.

Guns and accuracy. Raise you skills on the weapon type and ...

Time of the day matters in the game, shops open late morning and naturally close come evening. You can dwadle in a shop late into the night and they don't seem to chase you out tho... :)

Weapons, you scavange from the various ruined buildings or from a dead opponent. There's really little you can ...

The compass navigation is a GPS, which helps, especially in the tunnels, to guide to locations. It has it's merits, but adhering too much to it means less deviation from the path. The game rewards deviation (in terms of player, not character, experience); so stray! :)

Some locations are almost ...

It may be best to attempt this by taking the bridge slightly North East from the Super-Duper Mart, which should not be too difficult to find if you travel East out of Megaton.

Once across the bridge, keep to the riverside on the east of the river, keeping low and hidden as best as you can. The ...

Some may say that I've played too little to critisize, but it's like someone that sees a wonderful huge cake and takes a bite of it and it tastes rotten... What would he say? Try to eat a little more of that cake and see how the rest tastes like (you've already bought the cake so let's ...

Lol.. yea. But I seldom, if ever, buy back stuff I sold since it is (usually if not always) economically unsound to do so... barring some accidental sales, but that occurs rarely and none so far for Fo3. :)

So I've never actually noticed for most of the merchants.

I believe, who's that ghoul in ...

Traders and Merchants buy/sell stuff for profit. You sell them stuff and someone else comes along to buy... makes things go along well.

Moira... is a kind hearted little... ditz... I like her, not that I don't, but it may "explain" why she keeps your stuff. Or she's simply keeping them until you ...

Only person to survive that Dad dying scene would be Autumn. Wonder what perk he had. Maybe he's secretly a ghoul with a "human mask"?

I'd like to reason the ending that any mutant companion refused to enter is because the purging of radiation at the rate of the GECK would kill them. In fact, I ...

Karma is where"you get what you give".

No, the bobbleheads themselves loose you no karma for taking them.
Gaining access to take some of them may cost you karma.

jklinders, you already gained -ve karma for killing the guy! But I do agree that taking stuff from his corpse is a missed -ve karma ...

Just completed F3 after a long play through

Did not play Oblivion, so cannot make comparison there.

I'd like to say that my previous attempts to first-person RPG (really olde titles of more than 5 years back) was not what I found particularly pleasant (Until VtM:Bloodlines). I was not very happy ...

You'd likely master the Small Guns skill and pick up some Energy Weapons just to make up the requirement for certain Perks that work well with small arms rifles. While I initially decided to aim for the Laser and Plasma route, using more standard firearms to keep me alive until then, the weapon ...

Karma is not exactly a "reaction to your immediate actions" system. Which is why you still gain and loose Karma in proportion when you perform deeds even without anyone noticing you. It's a sort of "reputation accumulation"... think of it as such that words tend to get around and that when you think ...

As far as I know, this is a known bug where if you have the PC version (ie access to the in-game console) you can use the console commands to respawn the robot "corpses" and 'port them to you (ref swcarter's map on where you should be). No luck for console... you'd have to use one of the other ...

As I know...

#1. All henchmen equipment do not deteriorate in condition regardless if it is their default or any you may give them, regardless of how much they use it. (This makes giving them unique items with no repairable components to them an option over using them yourself - a pity though ...

Some items like Ultra SMG and Ranger Armor are unique variants of more common SMG and Combat Armor and repair fine with these commonly found parts. Others are truly unique in which they are exceptional and have no common variant.

So you complain that you cannot use these exceptional items all the ...

I think the quest for these items are scripted such that you need to reach a certain level and talk to the proper character within that chapter. As each chapter is a different module, nothing passes between them save your character and related inventory.

So if the script would allow the Orc to give ...

My opinions are...

General consensus to Weapon Master levels is that it must be 7. Less makes it quite a waste, more is not all that desirable since +1 AB every now and then to a multiclass combination that would almost mean that your AB = character level and would also place importance on STR to ...
