Hof

Couple of questions about HOF mode.

Do you still have skill levels easy-insane in HOF?

If so is there a major difference between normal - insane and HOF - easy?

I'm starting again with a new party and I thought I might try HOF but all the posts I've read make it seem a little difficult for my ...

level squatting help

with level squatting, If you have accumulated enough xp to go up more than 1 level, can you just goup 1?
Or failing that, can you go up 1 in two different calsses.
When I try It adds all available levels to the one i select.

Its driving me nuts!!!

quick guardian question (spoiler)

When you kill the guardian, are all of your characters supposed to get improved resistance to acid or just the person who lands the final blow? and does this stack with bonus like aqua mortis (feat)?

mine does this to. The patch fixes this but kills a couple of things like summon undead. The real difficulty is that if an enemy has improved invisibility the only way you can damage them is with area effect spells which can kinda brutalise your own party.

I dont have the patch, so this could be out of date but what I've found with sneak attack is that you can can hit each person once for sneak attack damage as long as you hit them from behind. This generally takes a bit of micro-managing, but I have loads of fun running around in combat hitting ...

Something like that, and Its works fine against elementals and daemons, which I presume are 'outsiders' but drowned dead and shadows dont prompt a saving throw, so are these not undead, or soes it not work against undead or what

DC of spells seems wrong

I had thought that the DC of spells was ten + spell level + Ability bonus.

However I keep getting hit by my own fireballs when I should be saving.

My sorcerer has 23 CHR which is a +6 and fireball is level 3 so that should be 19.
My monk still gets hit on a 20 or 21.
Is it perhaps supposed to be ...

Mace of Disruption

Umm, doesn't seem to work.
I'm playing the battle squares andd I've just got it, tried using it against a shadow, and a drowned dead and nothing seems to happen. I've got the feedback options on, so I can seen saving throws for fireballs and things but no saving throws when they get hit by the mace ...

Not sure if anyone cares anymore but this thread was origonally about skill mastery so I thought I'd clear that up.

In NWN you take a 20 on any skill roll when not in combat.

With skill mastery you take a 20 in combat as well. This is useful for skills like discipline and parry which are only ...

in NWN the weapon either ends up on the ground or disappears, not sure why it's not always the same.

Might have something to do with the weapon, magic ones seem to land on the ground, normal ones tend to dissappear but not always

Disarm question

Having some problems with disarm. It doesn't seem to work on some people, but it doesn't say that it doesn't work.

First you can attempt a disarm on people with no weapon but you get significant negatives to the roll and nothing happens if you succeed. (this sort of makes sense so is not a problem ...

Vampiric Regeneration

Just got the tooth of choas, a +2 greatsword with +3 Vampiric Regeneration.

Now from playing tons of RPG's vampiric regeneration means that when I hit something I steal some of its live force and add that onto my own.

For some mind blowingly stupid reason, this only works once per round with NWN ...

Looking for magic greatsword

Nearly finished chapter one, and i have virtually every +1 weapon except greatsword, I even have some +2 weapons, shuriken and hand axes. Does snyone know what level you have to be to get a +1 greatsword from a chest.

I mean I even have a +1 two bladed sword and I would've thought they'd be less ...

Summoning creatures

Seems to me that the level V summon (the bear) is no where near as tough as the level IV (the spider). Does the spider get tougher as I level up??

also the wolf (level III) keeps trying to knockdown people, even when 1 hit will kill them, is there any way to stop him doing this.

I usually cast ...
