I also know of a suit of armor (black dragons) that grays out spells and even special abilities (barbarian rage eg).

But I think its charisma too....

IWD2, following D&D 3ed, does not award XP for monsters that are far beneath the party. However, a horde of minor monsters can still be quite deadly....

I've got a character who has Bands of Focus (D.R. 5/+1) and the Cloak of Mystra (also 5/+1 DR), but he only ever gets 5 damage resistance, I guess...
