The Brain of the Many is just that: the central intelligence that controls all of the Many's actions, and which has been psionically communicating with you up until this point. The Brain of the Many serves as one of the major boss battles in the game, and comes at the end of the Body of the Many section. While the Brain itself does not have any direct attacks, you'll find it surrounded by an extremely large number of Psi Reavers and Rumblers. The Brain of the Many is protected from damage by a psionic shield - the three shield nodes before the Brain can be damaged.

Strategy: It is absolutely imperative that you bring a ranged weapon to this fight, as the Brain's shield nodes can only be killed by them. The hardest part of the battle is getting through the door - start by running straight into the room, only spending time to kill the Rumblers if it's absolutely necessary, and keep moving. The Psi Reavers are the main threat, so you'll want to destroy the Psi Reaver Brain Structures on the left and right sides of the room. When you've got the chance, fire at the shield nodes - they should go down with a single shot. Afterwards, the Brain will fall shortly if you've got an Assault Rifle or similar top-tier weapon. For Psi users, there's an alternative: use Soma Transference to attack the Brain, and you won't even have to deal with the shield nodes. Once the fight is over, you'll need to escape the room by jumping down the pit where the Brain once stood.
