Background

When you enter the village of Carsten in Velen North (#1), you'll encounter a trio of peasants huddled together at a barricaded barn. Talking to them will trigger the quest.


Walkthrough

The peasants will tell you that they have some beasts locked inside the barn, and they'll ask you to deal with them. When you enter the barn, you'll discover that the beasts are four level 11 ghouls. After dispatching them, you might notice some human remains in the barn, which is what attracted the ghouls. When you return to the peasants, they'll inform you that the remains came from some bandits who tried to have their way with a girl in the village. They'll also reward you for your work: 20 crowns and 25 xp.
