Background

You'll trigger this quest when you loot a Nilfgaardian's Notes from the corpse of a Nilfgaardian soldier in Velen North (#1).


Walkthrough

When you read the notes, you'll learn that there's a missing treasure container somewhere in the area. To find the container, you'll just need to head east, where you'll discover a handful of drowners guarding a boat. After defeating the drowners, when you search the area you'll find the treasure container in the water right next to the boat (#2). Looting the (random) container will complete the quest.
