You do not have to use it
I always used traps in a trickier fashion. I would set one up far away, and have someone chase me, and lead them to the trap. (Not to the 6 traps
And then I would engage them.
You get to use the power of traps, and not feel guilty

How come Keldorn always dies in my party? His AC sucks ass. He gets beaten to a bloody pulp by most powerful melee's. And you people have to remembe that not everyone who plays the game gets the super powerful paladin weapons. I have him dualwielding Foe-Bane and angurvedal, and he can dish out ...

These are my opinions of the toughest fights.
I found most of the battles in SOA fairly easy. However, I think that one of the hardest ones was the fight in the sewers, against those 6 characters. One fellow with the throwing axe, an archer, some mages and clerics. I must have died about 5 times in ...

I can honestly say, that EVERY weapon type in the game has some really great weapons, especially in TOB. I would take a look at the main page and look at Cespanars Forge, so you can get a taste of what is to come in TOB. It also depeneds on the character you take. IE, if you have Korgan, he already ...

Dang, I thought I was the only one that knew about the summoned/time trap thing.
I used it once, but then my stomach retched because it is too cheesy :)
And yes, you never even notice a bard leveling. I had Haer'dalis in my party, and he was level 30 something while the rest were still in the mid ...

I would think so as well. They can just give him the 'enrage' ability, which I believe grants immunity to that. I never used that spell, and never will...its cheesy, plus, you dont get the cool items that most of the tough characters drop

What kind of weapons did you have at this point? I found this battle very hard at the core rules level. I fought them all at the same time though.
That beholder kept doing cause X wounds, and the huntress has about a zillion HP. And Ytossi does that poison/disease, and has protection from magical ...

The idea was that we had to systematically weaken her so we could finish her off. We had to cut off the 'essences' she had access too. The only part I did not like was that we knew where she was going to appear, and we could set traps to take a large chunk of her life off. Other than that, she was ...

There is a spell called death ward. I have seen some enemies cast it, and some of the monsters have that affect built in. It is only fair that the Prince of Demons be immune to finger of death

, or other cheesy effects.

I would have to say Jaheira. I never liked her. You already have two good healers, and she is a decent healer, and a decent fighter. Sarevok is an INCREDIBLE fighter.
Either her or minsc, depending on who you like.

You need to get the Air Scepter. It is on those Air elementals, one of them called Air Guardian. The best idea is to lure them out of the electricity room so you dont get constantly shocked.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the input. I think I might take Amomen now. Viconia was pretty good with undead too, she gained control of them. I think though that my swashbuckler is going to kick some serious butt, especially with his time stop traps, improved haste, and dual wielding
