On this level of the catacombs you'll meet a good number of dopplegangers, most of them wearing the shapes of your old friends from Candlekeep. Don't be fooled, however, as they are really dopplegangers! The good part is that you can loot their corpses and sometimes find valuable treasures like Laeral's Tear Necklaces, Pearl Necklaces and Diamonds. There are also some traps around the middle of this level so watch out!
1- DREPPIN DOPPLEGANGER
2- ARKANIS AND DEDER:
Two of the NPCs you trained with back in the prologue. It seems like Obe sent them to help you get out of this level. They are not dopplegangers and you can trust them. They will follow your party and help you in combat but they are not all that useful.
3- 15 SKELETON ARCHERS:
They can be quite dangerous as they use Composite Long Bows and shoot arrows with a lot of accuracy. There are also traps around you have to be careful with. Your best bet according to me is to cast Protection from Normal Missiles on your mage and send him/her alone in the center of this room. Then use a Wand of Fire and roast the skeletons without taking any damage at all!
4- JONDALAR DOPPLEGANGER:
Looks like he set up a torture room for himself. Once he's dead search the trapped chest for a Dispel Magic scroll.
5- HULL DOPPLEGANGER
6- KARAN DOPPLEGANGER
7- REEVOR DOPPLEGANGER
8- PARDA DOPPLEGANGER
9- FULLER DOPPLEGANGER
10- ELMINSTER, GORION AND TETHTORIL:
They try to convince you that they are not dopplegnagers but you know better than that. Question them on their motives(choices: 2-2) and they'll reveal their true nature. They'll change into 1 Greater Doppleganger and 2 Dopplegangers which you'll have to dispatch. Kill the greater one first as he can cast spells (such as Haste).
