Overview

Vault 21 is located on the New Vegas Strip. Mr. House filled up most of the vault with concrete, and the rest is used as a hotel (past Exit B) and gift shop (#1). Although you'll find some gambling tables in the vault, you won't be able to use them.


1 - Gift Shop

Inside the gift shop you'll meet Sarah Weintraub. She'll sell you a small selection of (mostly) junk items. If you ask her about her merchandise and press her about vault gear, then she'll reveal that she needs vault suits (excluding Vault 21 Jumpsuits, armored suits, and utility suits, but including Boomer Jumpsuits if you pass a Barter 65 check). "Leather suits are good times!"

Each time you bring Sarah some suits, you'll receive 30 caps per suit, plus some Strip fame. If you bring Sarah over ten suits, then she'll call you "stranger" the next time you talk to her, and you'll be able to invite her to your room (#3) to "catch up." This will lead to the two of you having sex, and you receiving the "well-rested" bonus.

Sarah is also responsible for the vault hotel, and she'll rent you a room (#3) for 0, 10, or 40 caps, depending on how much she likes you. If you're interested, Sarah can also give you a tour of the vault. Finally, you'll find a "very hard" reception terminal in the gift shop. It is identical to the "easy" terminal in Sarah's room (#4).


2 - Diner

You'll meet Carlitos in the diner (or nearby). He's involved in the quest Bye Bye Love.


3 - Your Room

If you rent a room from Sarah (#1), then this is the one you'll get.


4 - Sarah's Room

This "average" locked room belongs to Sarah (#1). Inside, you'll find a few things of interest: a Snow Globe - The Strip, a "hard" locked dresser containing some vault jumpsuits (two of which you can turn around and sell to Sarah), and an "easy" terminal that you can use to read Sarah's mail. The terminal in Sarah's room is identical to the reception terminal in the gift shop.

Note: If you pickpocket Sarah, then you'll be able to steal the passcard to open her room and the key to unlock her dresser.


5 - Hotel Room

Inside this room you'll find Strip Letter 1 (on a desk).


6 - Hotel Room

Inside this room you'll find Strip Letter 2 (on a desk).


7 - Inaccessible Door

There isn't any way to go through this door.


8 - Hotel Room

Inside this room you'll find Strip Letter 3 (on a desk).


9 - Hotel Room

Inside this room you'll find a first aid box.
