Overview
The Ultra-Luxe is one of the three main casinos on the
New Vegas Strip. To gamble there, you'll need to purchase chips from the cashier on the casino floor (#2). As you win chips from the casino, you'll also win other prizes, including the
Bon Vivant Suite Key (after 11,250 chips), which will allow you to enter the Bon Vivant Suite (#8). After winning 15,000 chips, you'll be banned from gambling in the casino.
1 - Top Shelf Bar
You'll meet Heck Gunderson sitting at the bar. He's involved in the quests
Beyond the Beef and
Pheeble Will. You'll also meet a bartender here, who will sell you a basic selection of alcoholic drinks.
2 - Cashier
If you can pick the "average" lock on the door, then inside the cashier's room you'll find an unlocked safe and an "average" safe containing some random gear. You'll also discover three "lockers" (looking like metal boxes) where you'll find your weapons if they were confiscated when you entered the casino.
3 - Mortimer
Mortimer will tell you about the White Glove Society, where "the most tasteful, sophisticated people are the most deserving." He's involved in the quest
Beyond the Beef. If you agree to help Mortimer, then he'll give you the
Ultra-Luxe Freezer Key, the
Ultra-Luxe Kitchen Key, and the
Ultra-Luxe Penthouse Key. Otherwise, you'll need to steal those keys from him or pick some locks. Mortimer also wears a
Tuxedo Hat, which is a unique hat.
4 - Storage Room
You'll discover a locked storage room here. If you can pick the door's "easy" lock, then inside you'll find a
Container of Chlorine, which you might need for the quest
How Little We Know.
5 - Marjorie
Marjorie is the founder of the White Glove Society. She's involved in the quest
Beyond the Beef. If you gain enough fame on the Strip, then you'll be able to convince Marjorie to sponsor you for the White Glove Society, which will cause her to give you
Formal Wear and the
White Glove Society Members Key (which you can use to open the Members Only Section, Exit F). You can also steal the key from Marjorie.
Note: If you admit to Marjorie that you're a cannibal, then you'll gain infamy with the White Glove Society.
6 - Bar
Behind the bar you'll find a food supplier and a bartender. Between the two you'll be able to buy a lot of basic food and drink items.
7 - Unlocked Safe (Upper Level)
Surprisingly, you won't find much in the safe, just some caps and random items.
8 - Bathroom (Upper Level)
Inside the bathroom you'll find a first aid box (on the wall) and
Sleepwear (in an open metal box).
9 - Bon Vivant Suite
To enter this suite, you'll need to win enough chips in the casino to earn the
Bon Vivant Suite Key. However, you won't find anything of interest inside the suite, and all of its containers will be "red."
10 - Investigator's Room
To enter this room, you'll need the
Investigator's Room Key, which you can pick up during the quest
Beyond the Beef. Inside, you'll find the investigator dead on the floor. If you don't have the Wild Wasteland trait, then the investigator will be an ordinary man named Jay Barnes. If you have the Wild Wasteland trait, then he'll be a redhead with
Sunglasses, and his name will be Crusoe. This is a reference to "CSI: Miami."
11 - Kitchen
Inside the kitchen, on a counter by the door, you'll find
Recipes - Brahmin Wellington.
12 - Freezer
This is where you'll find Ted Gunderson. He's involved in the quests
Beyond the Beef and
Pheeble Will.
