Overview

1 - Sgt. Kilborn

Sgt. Kilborn will give you some background information about the outpost. He's also involved in the quest Cold, Cold Heart.


2 - Unification Monument


3 - Brahmin Pens

You'll sometimes find traveling merchants sleeping here.


4 - Ranger Ghost (Roof)

Ranger Ghost will give you the quest Keep Your Eyes on the Prize.


5 - Barracks

You'll meet two people of interest inside the barracks:

• Lacey. You'll find her behind the bar. She's a merchant, and she'll play Caravan with you.
  
  
• Cass (aka Rose of Sharon Cassidy). You'll find her sitting at the bar. She'll give you the quest Heartache by the Number. During that quest, she'll become available as a companion.
  
  Note: Cass is the daughter of John Cassidy, who was a companion in Fallout 2.

Also inside the barracks, you'll find plenty of things to drink, including some Nuka-Cola Quartz (in the bar shelves), and you'll be able to pick up a copy of Duck and Cover (inside the bar where Lacey usually stands) and a Sunset Sarsaparilla Star Bottle Cap (on the northern side of the bar). To steal the copy of Duck and Cover, you'll probably need to use a Stealth Boy or drag the book (using the Z key on the PC) to a less visible location.


6 - Headquarters

You'll meet two people of interest inside the headquarters:

• Major Knight. He'll repair your equipment (up to 100%). He's also involved in the quest My Kind of Town.
  
  Note: Apparently, when the game first shipped, you could use the Confirmed Bachelor perk to get free repairs (using your skill level) from Knight, but this is no longer the case.
  
  
• Ranger Jackson. He's in charge of the outpost. He'll give you the quest Can You Find It in Your Heart? He's also involved in the quest Heartache by the Number.

You won't find any notable loot in the headquarters.
