Background

You'll receive this quest from Tommy Torini in the Aces Theater of the Tops Casino, which is located in the middle part of the New Vegas Strip.


Walkthrough

Tommy will tell you that the theater is always looking for new talent, and he'll give you four of his business cards so you can hand them out to potential acts. Tommy will offer you a 3% cut for the acts you bring in, but if you pass a Barter 50 check, then he'll increase that offer to 5%.

There are four acts that you can find in the Mojave wasteland:

• Billy Knight. You'll find him in the middle section of the New Vegas Strip, standing by the northern gate. When you talk to him there, he'll agree to work for almost anything, but if you pass a Barter 25 check, then you'll improve his confidence (and your cut). Then when you return to Tommy, you might get another chance at a Barter 25 check (if you failed the one with Billy), and depending on your success with these checks, you'll receive 45-150 caps.
  
  
• Bruce Isaac. You'll find him in his motel room in Novac. When you talk to him there, he'll agree to work at the Tops Casino, and when you return to Tommy, you'll receive 150-250 caps.
  
  
• Hadrian. You'll find him in the Atomic Wrangler in Freeside. When you talk to him there, he'll tell you that he can't join the Tops Casino because of his "ironclad" contract with the Garrets. To get Hadrian out of his contract, you'll need to talk with James Garret (also in the Wrangler), and pass a Speech 50 or Barter 50 check, or pay him 150 caps (or only 100 caps with a Barter 35 check, or only 75 caps if you completed the quest Wang Dang Atomic Tango). Then when you return to Hadrian, he'll leave for the Tops Casino, and when you talk to Tommy, you'll receive 125-210 caps.
  
  
• The Lonesome Drifter. You'll find him camped by a billboard on the road between Novac and the 188 Trading Post (right next to the El Dorado Dry Lake). To convince him to work for the Tops Casino, you'll need to listen to his story and then suggest that he settle down. If you pass a Barter 50 check, then he'll give you his Mysterious Magnum and 18 .44 Magnum Rounds before departing for the casino. Then when you return to Tommy, you'll receive 100-166 caps.

Recruiting all four acts will complete the quest and earn you 500 xp and some Strip fame. You'll also be able to watch the acts in the theater: Hadrian at 1pm, Billy Knight at 4pm, Tommy Torini and the Rad Pack at 6pm, Bruce Isaac at 8pm, and the Lonesome Drifter at 10pm.

Note: Each time you recruit an act, its name will appear on the marquee outside the casino.

Another Note: We've heard reports that this quest can break if you recruit multiple acts before returning to Tommy. This didn't happen to us, and it's possible Obsidian fixed the quest in one of their patches.
