Temple of Tyr |
1 - EXIT TO BEORUNNA'S WELL
The door from here will take you back to the main area of Beorunna's Well.
2 - NEURIK
Neurik the priest of Tyr you have met at Port Llast has also traveled here to help you with your quest. He again provides free healing. Neurik also needs your help once more. He needs someone to defend an Uthgardt tribesman called Rolgan that has been accused for murdering one of the soldiers of the Lords' Alliance called Griff. If you accept to help, Neurik will give you the Defense Council Journal that contains details about the trial, the jurors and the witnesses. You will need to speak with everyone and when you are ready to start the trial come back and talk with Neurik again.
Edegar will be your assistant at the trial. He is also a juror so hear what he has to say about the case. Check below for the list of jurors and witnesses and where to find them:
Jurors
Edegar : Found inside the Temple of Tyr
Averik : Found at the Drinking House – Can be bribed
Palla : Found at the Uthgardt Settlement
Jevon : Found at the Mercenary Enclave – Can be bribed
Dalcia : Found near the Uthgardt Settlement
Witnesses
Lodar : Found at the Drinking House
Vanda : Found at the Uthgardt Settlement
Zeb : Found at the Mercenary Enclave
Rolgan : Found inside the Temple of Tyr (the accused)
3 - ROLGAN
Rolgan has found refuge at the temple after been accused for the murder of Griff, a soldier of the Lords' Alliance army, and hunted down by some other soldiers that wanted his head on a stick. If you decide to defend him at the trial, talk to him to learn his side of the story.
4 - RECALL PORTAL AND DIVINE POOL
Whenever you use the Stone of Recall or choose to respawn after death you will be brought back here is this room. The divine pool is also located nearby.
5 - COURT ROOM
This is the place where the trial will take place when you are done talking with everyone involved with Rolgan's Trial and informed Neurik you are ready to start the trial. Keep in mind that once the trial begins if you escape the conversation at any time the trial will immediately end finding Rolgan guilty for the murder of Griff. During the course of the trial keep your eyes on the jurors. You will need at least three of the jurors to raise a burning torch in order to save Rolgan. Use the burning torches or swords as guidelines to know when you do or do not need to ask something else. However without Lodar's or Zeb's real testaments you cannot win the trial (without bribe) so be sure to offer Lodar a couple of drinks at the Drinking House to break his silence or/and heal the Zeb's Leg at the Mercenary Enclave.
With the addition of Lodar's or/and Zeb's real testaments you can even win the trial with a unanimous verdict.
Your reward will be determined from the outcome of the trial (You can always persuade for another 100 gold pieces though no matter the outcome of the trial).
If you lose the trial Rolgan will be executed and his head will be placed on a stick outside of the temple. Your reward will be 100 gold pieces and 390 experiences points.
If you win the trial Neurik will reward you according to the number of the jurors that voted Rolgan not-guilty. For example a 4 to1 verdict rewards 1500 gold pieces and 1171 experience points. Also Rolgan will be free to return to his people.
If you win the trial with a unanimous verdict Neurik will reward you will 2000 gold pieces and 1562 experience points. This will also result in the diminishing of the tension between the Lords' Alliance soldiers and the Uthgardt tribesmen... at least a little.
