Background

After completing the assignments "Wrecked Merchant Freighter" (on Neith) and "Abandoned Research Station" (on Jarrahe Station), you'll receive a private message from EDI letting you know that the Hahne-Kedar facility on Capek seems to be the source for the VI viruses that caused all of the problems in the previous two assignments. Receiving the message will trigger the assignment "Hahne-Kedar Facility."


Walkthrough

When you scan Capek (Haskins / Titan Nebula), you'll learn that the Hahne-Kedar facility is currently under "emergency lockdown." Then when you land on the planet, you'll discover why: the mechs at the facility have become infected with some sort of virus that either makes them hostile or causes them to self-destruct. Your objective will then change, and you'll be tasked with shutting down the facility to prevent more mechs from being assembled there.

To shut down the facility, you'll have to fight your way through a maze of crates on the Warehouse. Mechs will endlessly and frequently spawn in front of you, and so you'll need to push through them to reach the exit door to the northwest. To easiest way to get through the fight is to order your crewmates to move in front of you, so they take the brunt of the damage, and so all three of you are in the same place to fire on the mechs (if you try to blaze the trail yourself, then the mechs will probably spawn about as quickly as you can kill them, and you'll run out of ammunition). When you reach the exit door, the mechs will stop spawning.

Past the Warehouse in Office 2, you'll find the console that controls the Production Line, and successfully hacking it will complete the assignment and return you to the Normandy.
