Background

When you detect the anomaly, you'll trigger the assignment "Archeological Dig Site." You'll learn that the Blue Suns appear to have a base on the planet, and that they're probably using it to perform some "illegal archeological activity." Then when you land on the planet, your objective will change, and you'll be asked to retrieve an artifact from the base.


Walkthrough

When you reach the base, you'll get attacked by a bunch of Blue Suns mercenaries, including a commander and Lieutenant Locke. Once you've dealt with these enemies, when you explore the base you'll find a PDA (in the Excavation Room), which will indicate that the Blue Suns have also captured a derelict ship in the Arinlarkan system in the Omega Nebula. This information will trigger the assignment "MSV Strontium Mule." See the MSV Strontium Mule ship entry for more information.

In the back room of the base (in the Artifact Room), you'll find a Prothean Video Log, and clicking on it will give you one of those Prothean visions like you had in Mass Effect. Using the log will also complete the assignment and return you to the Normandy.
