Commentary:

Weak damage (in late game -- in the normal story dungeon it's more than sufficient), but with a knockback. This is a one-point wonder at best. It should not be relied on as your main damage source, but can be used to toss a foe away from you, giving you some breathing space. That's best done with just one point investment. If you can couple this with aura of thorns, you'll do a lot more damage by keeping enemies away and having your thorns hit them constantly.
